Chris Floyd X Behind the Lens exhibition - Richard Ashcroft / The Verve
Chris Floyd has collaborated with BEHIND THE GALLERY for an exclusive online exhibition of his photographs (and selected contact sheets) featuring The Verve and Oasis - many of which are now available to purchase as signed, limited edition prints.
In a few weeks, Richard Ashcroft will take to the stage, supporting Oasis on their long awaited #OasisLive25 reunion tour, so to celebrate this musical landmark, we wanted to share some of Chris Floyd's incredible archive of images taken during several years shooting on tour, on and off stage across the world with The Verve.
"I first met THE VERVE in the cauldron of LAS VEGAS in mid summer, 1994. They played to about 40 people on an outlying stage at the LOLLAPALOOZA Festival but they played as if it were 40,000. I can still hear the sound of the bass rolling over me and onwards to the desert beyond. It was epic and that's where my connection with them began. It ran all the way to their hometown of Wigan where they really did play to 40,000 people in May 1998. Over that 4 year period I built up an unprecedented body of work dedicated to them, on the road and in the studio." Chris Floyd.
