Phil Fisk is an award-winning London-based photographer and filmmaker specialising in entertainment, portrait, healthcare and editorial photography — producing key art, campaign and promotional imagery for the worlds of film, television and theatre, as well as commercial advertising for global brands. AOP Gold Award winner 2019. Represented by Flock Photographic Agency for photography and moving image commissions in the UK and worldwide.

What sets Phil apart is light. Rather than working from flat, even illumination, he constructs photographs around rich, three-dimensional lighting environments — sculpted, cinematic and deeply atmospheric — that give his images genuine depth and painterly presence. His work is playful and humorous on the surface, with a considered nod to darker undertones, and as analytical as it is instinctive: every set, colour, tone and compositional element chosen with purpose.

Over more than twenty years, Phil has become one of London’s most trusted entertainment photographers, creating key art and promotional imagery for the worlds of film, television and theatre. Broadcast and streaming clients include BBC, Channel 4, ITV, SKY, Paramount+, MTV and Playful Productions. Theatre clients include the Almeida Theatre, National Theatre, Shakespeare’s Globe and the ENO.

His celebrated BAFTA series For the Love of Film is among his most distinctive bodies of work — a sustained portrait project capturing the often-unseen contributors to British filmmaking: stunt performers, animation directors, producers, cinematographers and special effects artists, sometimes alongside the actors themselves, rendered with the same gravitas and care usually reserved for the names above the title.

Phil has photographed outstanding figures from stage, screen, music and culture over more than two decades, including Mark Rylance, Aimee Lou Wood, Kelly Reilly, Daniel Kaluuya, Paul Mescal, Emma Corrin, Harriet Walter, Brian Cox, Joseph Quinn, Dua Lipa, David Hockney, David Byrne, Paul Weller, Judi Dench, John Malkovich, Renée Zellweger, Sleaford Mods and Pet Shop Boys, among many others. His portrait of Paul Weller was selected for Portrait of Britain 2021.

Healthcare Photography

Phil has extensive experience shooting healthcare campaigns, working with specialist healthcare communications agencies on work that balances clinical credibility with genuine human warmth.

Moving Image

Phil directs on-air commercials, social content and digital 6-sheet campaigns alongside his photography. His short documentary The Grove was shortlisted at the 2023 London Short Film Festival and screened at the ICA.
