Liz Seabrook - Sama Sama X Julie Lin

Such a joy to share a world of beautifully vibrant food photography captured by Liz Seabrook for Julie Lin’s recent publication Sama Sama - Comfort Food from My Malaysian Scottish Kitchen (Ebury).

In Liz’s words:

“Julie is - and has been since the moment I met her - someone who on meeting you know is going to do well and do good. She's such a talent, but has such an all-encompassing warmth and joy for the people who find themselves in her orbit. This is not to say that she's soft though, she's strong and will stand up for anyone or anything she loves and believes in.

This book is a testament to all of these qualities, it's filled with passion for her motherland's food, but sits it side-by-side with the food of her childhood in Glasgow. It honours her brilliant Mum, who's food I have been lucky enough to be fed on multiple occasions, and the women before her. And, of course, it's all absolutely bloody delicious.”

Huge thanks to the brilliant team we had on set. “Every day was fun (even when Julie had to murder a crab), the set lunches were unreal, huge lols were had.
