Liz Seabrook - Clown at Home / Playwell
A joyful series of portraits by Liz Seabrook, capturing her good friend “Lauren the Clown, as she is invariably called when I talk about her to other pals”.
Lauren is the founder of creative welfare consultancy PlayWell, where she brings her background in clowning, theatre and workplace wellbeing to help creative teams build more playful, supportive and resilient working environments.
The brief for this shoot was simply: “Clown at Home”.
Liz arrived armed with a selection of monochrome outfits and matching ruffs - “clown, but not too clown” - and the rest was, in her words, “absolutely glorious nonsense”, with “lols aplenty”.
Full of joy, colour and a wonderful gentle sense of fun, resulting portraits capture Lauren exactly as liz intended: with warmth, playfulness and plenty of personality.
